Freezeburn

Freezeburn is an Indie project developed by me as part of my Indie course during my second year of University

My main focus for this project was to make a rage game. It started off as something simple. I had figured out how to create ice physics when programming Movin' Murder Mystery and therefore wanted to do something with it.

This started off with just simply creating hard precision platforming sections. But that turned out to be boring as there was no variation. Instead, I redeveloped the idea around the idea of risk vs reward.

I added a mechanic where the player can create their own limited respawn locations. This came with challenges, such as preventing softlocks. But overall, this meant that I was able to create some more annoying hazards.

I uploaded multiple "Sprint" Videos to document my process and hardships with the project. I've always enjoyed making platformers and this was no exception. Having a focus on Rage-Game based mechanics.

If you would like to watch the sprint videos. My youtube account is linked below. Additionally, if you would like to play the game. You can find it on my Itch.io Page.
